Neither. Lambda Pi Upsilon Sorority, Inc. does not have a pledging or rushing process. Our New Member Education (NME) process educates potential members via self-reflection, cultural knowledge, and organizational content.

Lambda Pi Upsilon Sorority, Latinas Poderosas Unidas, Inc. does not condone or encourage any act of hazing being conducted by any of its entities. We respect the rights of its members, including those participating in New Member Education. All are to be treated with dignity and respect. This includes consideration of the member or potential member as an autonomous individual with personal values and beliefs.

Lambda Pi Upsilon Sorority, Inc. is a Latina-based organization, (not Latina-exclusive) that welcomes all cultures and ethnicities.

For Undergraduate Membership

• Be enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited four (4) year college or university
• Have a minimum of a 2.5 cumulative GPA out of a 4.0 scale 
• Complete one (1) full-time semester (12-18 credits) at a four-year college or university

For Alumnae Membership

• Have received a degree from an accredited four-year college or university or be currently enrolled in an advanced/dual degree program, and have completed at least 120 credits
